In January, 2007, we met with the grandparents of Zachary (Chic and Carol Schoener) in order to make his quilt.  They gave him "Ho'o kumu" (a new beginning) as his Hawaiian name.  Kakali is Hawaiian for Zachary.  Then in April of that year they so generously gave us Zachary's birth picture to include on his web page.  This year after the birth of their granddaughter, Zoe "Mauli Ola", they requested a special quilt for her.  Please visit her page.  Many thanks to Zachary's grandparents (and mom, Kathy, and dad, Jason) for sharing his birth and his 3-year old pictures with us.  We were so proud to have made his quilt.  We are more proud to have them in our lives!
